Alaskan Light: Mystery Revealed
Each year, the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center looks forward to its summer-long, invitational exhibit of Alaskan contemporary artists. The KVCC works with a guest curator to develop a theme, and bring artists together from across the State of Alaska to show their work. These artists include those who have garnered name recognition, early career artists, and artists utilizing materials and media of all kinds.
A few words from out curator…
“The range and diversity of light in Alaska is as unpredictable as the artists’ responses to this theme. From the political satire of a shady deal being revealed in an Alaskan hotel, to the pure abstraction of nature bathed in light—this show temporarily lifts the veil of mystery shrouding the artist’s mind to reveal each subjective and personal interpretation of the theme Alaskan Light: Mystery Revealed.”
